A-Z Challenge Young Frankenstein

Y is for Young Frankenstein

Young Frankenstein is another indirect adaptation of Frankenstein’s story but something a little different. Well, what do you expect with Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder. These two jokers made a hilarious little movie and a cult classic. If you haven’t seen it, it’s worth the view and this is our pick from the niche genre of science fiction horror, comedy. If you’ve seen it please comment below we’d love to know what you thought about it.

Mel Brooks is 91 years old and still kicking. What have you vowed to do in your own life before the age of 91?

  1. I’ve seen this many times and own a copy – hilarious! And witty.

My mother has just turned 90 and has done plenty with her life. I hope I get there. I’m focusing on what I’m doing righ now, with my writing, my getting my home fit to be visited again.

  2. I love this movie. In college, I took a film appreciation class, taught by a Mel Brooks fanatic. The only Brooks movie we watched in class was The Producers … I think that was his break-out movie maybe?
Anyway, I own this, but can’t watch it now because we uploaded all our movies to Vudu before moving overseas, only to find that Vudu doesn’t work in China! >:(

I haven’t vowed to do anything before I turn 90. At my grandma’s 100th birthday party, she said the secret to a long life is to “love everyone” … so I probably won’t make it to 90. (HA)

  3. A cult classic for sure! It was my Y post also. Gene Wilder is so good in this film.
