A-Z Challenge Peter Pan

A-Z Challenge Peter Pan

P is for Peter Pan

Peter Pan despite its focus on the younger audience has been adapted to everything. It’s fantastical storyline and youthful focus brings in a new crop of fans every few years and shows no signs of slowing down. This story is one that children who don’t want to grow up can’t get enough of.

There have been lots of adaptations of this story in almost every form. Which is your favorite? If you were in Neverland would you be a pirate, a lost boy, or someone else?

Live Version from 1955

  1. Peter Pan is a great movie. I like the cartoon and the Robin William’s version. As for who would I be, hmm, Wendy I think.

  2. I believe I’ve seen the Mary Martin and the Disney animated versions. I always liked the story, and appreciated the film Finding Neverland about the author J. M. Barrie, with Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet.

  3. I read the original version to my kids earlier this year. We all thought it was one of the strangest stories we’d ever read…none of them want to see a movie rendition now!

Love the name of your blog! Happy A to Z-ing!

  4. I grew up with the Mary Martin soundtrack and saw a live version of the play (but not with Mary Martin). I remember getting a kick out of the audience participation to cure Tinkerbell by believing in fairies enough. And, of course, the Disney movie.
