A-Z Challenge Close Encounters of the Third Kind

C is for Close Encounters of the Third Kind

If you haven’t seen this one in a while, dust off that DVD and put it in. It’s a classic the keeps giving.

“We are not alone… A line worker, after an encounter with UFO’s, feels undeniably drawn to an isolated area in the wilderness where something spectacular is about to happen.”

  1. I have only seen Close Encounters a couple of times and I have to say, I’m not a huge fan. I find it a bit slow for my taste. However, it is definitely a classic 🙂

    1. Thanks for your thoughts Tasha! 🙂

  2. I’ve only seen it once. Maybe time to check it out again.

    1. Good choice! Thanks for coming by Sue and we’ll be by to check out your blog too.

  3. I loved this when it came out. Like the previous commenter says it is a bit slow, but for me that makes a nice change from non-stop action (although I must admit I loved Jumanji 2!)

    1. Hey Suzanne, thanks for your honest thoughts. Jumanji made our list this year too. Unexpectedly funnier than they made it appear. Hard to do. You’re welcome back any time!

  4. When I saw Close Encounters . . . for the first time when it was originally released in theaters, I knew what that odd sculpture at the dinner table was right away. I had been to Devil’s Tower on a trip west. Aliens exist.

    1. Love it!

  5. Another one I haven’t seen, but I know it should be on my list! Great choice, happy AtoZing!
